As of 10 July 2029, the professional football sector will fall within the scope of the European Anti-Money Laundering Regulation (AMLR). The regulation introduces far-reaching obligations in the fight against money laundering and financial crime, with a direct impact on professional football clubs, player agents and investment structures related to transfers.
