Liam is a Financial Economic Crime Consultant at Compliance Champs, specialising in KYC and Transaction Monitoring. He combines subject-matter expertise with target operating model design to deliver pragmatic solutions that strengthen compliance outcomes, reduce operational complexity, and align operating models with regulatory expectations.

Liam brings a strategic, human-centred approach to navigating complex regulatory environments. Holding a master’s degree in criminology (cum laude) and a bachelor’s degree in psychology, he combines strong financial economic crime expertise with a deep understanding of organisational behaviour, culture, and decision-making. This enables him to support clients in translating regulatory requirements into effective, real-world business practices.
With over five years of consulting experience, Liam has advised major Dutch banks on a wide range of financial crime risk and control topics at both strategic and operational levels. He is experienced in operating within demanding stakeholder environments and delivering outcomes across complex, global organisations.
He is recognised for his inquisitive, people-focused approach, investing time in understanding context and decision-making dynamics to design sustainable, tailored solutions aligned with clients’ long-term objectives.

Outside of work, Liam enjoys an active lifestyle through kickboxing and follows Brighton & Hove Albion. He has a strong interest in exploring new places, cooking and experiencing new cuisines, and spending time in the countryside, especially by the sea, where he finds space to reflect and gain perspective.
