Current Role
As a working student in Crypto Compliance, Geeta supports cryptocurrency service providers in complying with regulations. For instance, she conducts due diligence investigations and assesses internal compliance procedures. In addition, she contributes to drafting policy documents and license applications in line with MiCAR, Wwft, and DORA guidelines.
Professional Experience and Qualities
Geeta is a master’s student in International Technology Law at VU Amsterdam, combining legal expertise with a strong interest in technological developments, including blockchain technologies such as smart contracts. She has been active in the crypto market since 2017, which has strengthened her understanding of digital assets and the related regulatory frameworks. Geeta is diligent, analytical, and entrepreneurial by nature. This combination enables her to approach complex issues with care and precision.
Personal Interests and Hobbies
In her free time, Geeta enjoys bouldering and kickboxing, activities that help her train both physical strength and mental focus. She also enjoys gaming and immersing herself in both fiction and non-fiction literature. Her interest in (geo)politics is reflected in her critical perspective on international developments. Outside of her studies, she is a full-time caregiver and considers her friendships to be a cornerstone of her success.
