Ilona currently serves as a consultant in Financial Economic Crime at Compliance Champs, where she further develops her experiences within the financial sector. Her role is versatile, focusing on optimizing processes and effectively implementing changes in procedures and instructions, leveraging her operational knowledge, without losing sight of the team-building aspect.

During a brief Compliance traineeship after completing her law studies, Ilona gained her initial experience in the financial world at BinckBank/Saxo Bank. There, she encountered various aspects of banking. In the realm of Ongoing Due Diligence, she led a temporary team and maintained numerous customer contacts. Additionally, she provided training to her colleagues on client outreach and the fundamental principles of KYC (Know Your Customer). She also offered support in process improvements.

Ilona’s determination, honesty, and eagerness drive her effective implementation of changes in the realm of Financial Economic Crime. She consistently aims to achieve shared goals while continuing her personal development. In her consulting role as an implementation manager within Rabobank’s FEC domain, she dives into complex FEC topics such as Trade-Based Money Laundering. She thrives in this dynamic field, actively contributing to process improvements and organizational structuring. Ilona diligently maps out needs and risks, collaborating with colleagues to find solutions.

Outside of work, Ilona is an sports enthusiastic who engages in Crossfit several times a week. She never shies away from a challenge and always strives to give her best. However, she also makes time for relaxation and enjoys warm summer days, which she likes to spend at the beach or on a cozy terrace. Ilona deeply values her friends and family and enjoys spending time with them. These activities underline her work hard play hard mentality, where she enjoys working together to get the best out of it.
