Your tasks and responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance: Assist both our internal organization and clients in adhering to data protection laws, including GDPR and other applicable regulations.
- Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs): Conduct DPIAs to identify and mitigate privacy risks in data processing activities.
- Policy Development: Design, implement, and review privacy policies and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory standards.
- Data Breach Management: Advise on preparation and response strategies for data breaches, ensuring compliance with notification requirements.
- Training and Awareness: Deliver training sessions to promote a culture of data protection and privacy.
- Privacy Audits: Conduct audits to assess compliance and recommend improvements.
- Data Governance Advisory: Provide strategic advice on data governance frameworks.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with regulators, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication on privacy matters.
- Client Relationship Management: Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients through tailored advice and a personalized approach.
What we expect from you
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in privacy and data protection, preferably within the financial services sector (consulting experience is a plus).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Data Management, Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
- In-depth knowledge of privacy regulatory frameworks, including GDPR, ePrivacy Directive, and other applicable laws and regulations (e.g., DORA, MiCAR and/or AI Act), with an understanding of jurisdictional variations.
- Certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT or AIGP are highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to identify privacy risks and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex regulations to non-experts.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven mindset.
- Flexibility and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills are a plus.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.
